What we collect, why, and who sees it. Written from how the system actually works rather than from a template. It covers the guest app, the join page at join.threeq.co, the host console at console.threeq.co, and this website.
What we collect from guests
A phone number is required, because it is how you sign in and how the message reaches you when your table is ready. Everything else is optional.
- Your phone number, and when it was verified
- Your name and email, if you enter them
- Your app language
- Each time you join a queue: the branch, party size, seating area, and your note if you left one
- Your bookings, reviews and saved places
- A push token and device type, so notifications can arrive
Joining from a link, without the app
When you join from a venue link on join.threeq.co, we verify your number the same way and store the same details listed above. Your browser keeps a session token so you can watch your place without verifying again each time. If you allow notifications in the browser, we store a push token for that browser.
Guests added by the restaurant
If a host adds you on the board as a walk-in or a phone booking, they enter your name and number so you can be told when it is your turn. The restaurant is responsible for having your consent before entering your number. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your location
We do not store it. When the app shows how far a branch is, it sends your position with the request, the server works out the distance and discards it. The coordinates we hold are the restaurants', not the people's.
Who sees your details
When you join a restaurant queue, staff at that branch see your name, phone number, party size, seating choice and note. That is the minimum needed to hold a table and reach you if they have to.
A restaurant whose queue you have not joined sees nothing about you. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Messages we send
We send you an SMS with your verification code, when you are called, when a booking is confirmed, and when a venue cancels your place or booking. We do not send marketing messages to your number without your prior consent.
Services we rely on
SMS is sent through a licensed messaging gateway in Jordan (BroadNet), which receives your number and the message text and nothing else. Push notifications for phones and browsers travel through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. The support button opens WhatsApp on your device; what you send there is governed by WhatsApp's own policy.
Where the data lives
Data is stored on servers in Europe, encrypted in transit, and backed up daily. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
This website
When you send the Start Free or Book a Demo form, we store what you typed: your restaurant's name, your name, work email, phone number, number of locations, and anything you wrote in the optional field. We also store the page you sent it from, your browser type, your IP address and, if an ad brought you here, the campaign name. We use this to contact you about ThreeQ and for nothing else. Our founder gets a text message with the restaurant name, your name and your number, so someone can call you back.
This website can load Google Analytics, and advertising measurement from Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn, to see which pages and campaigns bring restaurants to us. When they are switched on they may set cookies in your browser. They are told that a form was sent and how many locations were chosen, never your name, email or phone number.
Your choice of light or dark theme and of language is kept in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Deleting your account
In the app: Account, then Delete account. It stops working immediately, every session is revoked and your device is removed from notifications; your personal details are erased seven days later. The gap exists so somebody who changes their mind keeps their visit history. Queue and booking records stay with the restaurant as its own history of its evenings, but stop pointing at you.
If you joined from a link without an account, or sent a form on this website, write to us and we will delete your details.
Restaurants
For each restaurant we store the account details, its branches with their settings and photos, staff names, numbers, emails and roles, and the queue and reservation history. That data belongs to the restaurant, and we use it to run the service and for nothing else.
Getting in touch
